Closing Comments

Feel free to post a comment and advice to the next group of teachers that will take the Web 2.0 course next month.

Also, let us know if you are interested in a part II of this course, google docs or both. I will pass the information along.

It was great having you in class!

I enjoyed this course. I have learned a lot in a week. At the beginning nothing was a review. I now am leaving this course with an abundant amount of web 2.0 information.
I am interested in a part two course.

You will love this course! By the end of the week you will have learned about all kinds of valuable technology tools that you'll be able to use in your classroom. I hope to be able to take the second part of this course and would love to take a course on google docs.

I cannot believe that I can actually do some of the things I learned in this class. I now Tweet, Blog, and all sort of funny worded things.
I would love to take a course in google docs.
There is so much out there -

Mary gives loads of great information. After you digest it, then relax and play. Take it all in slowly and try it out at home.
I have realized that there are awesome tools to use in class and at home. I feel as though I have been brought into the technology world. The problem is there are too many good things! Have fun and enjoy!

I'd love to take a part 2 of this course! The possiblities are so wide. The idea of having more time to experiment and integrate these technologies is exciting.

The introduction to so many tools and resources for further independent growth are priceless! =-)

I think that this course was great and was the most innovative professional development opportunity that I've taken advantage of.
I also believe that it will change the way I teach, and hopefully--with my help--change the way teachers in my building adapt to the ever-changing technologies that exist-- ultimately benefitting the students.
I hope that another course like this is offered, or even something that would deal with Google Docs.

I started this class with not knowing what a tweet or wikie was and I had never blogged or skyped. I feel like I've been exposed and tasted alot of web 2.0 tools. I know want to apply them now. I would love to take a followup class. It was fun but exhausting.

This class was great! I made a classroom website and learned so many new terms and ways of communicating and presenting online. I won't use Word for everything now :) I feel so good about getting "caught up with the times." I am excited to take a smartboard course and integrate all of this. I hope to take more courses like this soon to continue to learn details about all of these tools. It will help students so much by making learning more interactive and modeling current use of technology.

I really learned a lot this week. Some of the things I am sure I will struggle with, some I probably will not ever look at again, but I hope to incorporate many of them into my teaching. I feel about twenty years younger, just recognizing terms like Skype, Tweets, Blogs, and Wikis. Wow!
I really love the Google sites and the Google spreadsheet.

So much stuff! But it is so important that we know about these tools. We've all heard about Web 2.0 - I thought I knew what it was about, but now I really know! I am enjoying my iGoogle home page, and I have already set up a spreadsheet to share with computer teachers. Jing is awesome - it will save me so much time in the future. I have a pbwiki, but it will be fun to try wikispaces and Google sites. I know i will refer to the wiki and the class blog in the future. Not sure yet how I will use Twitter, but it sure is fun! Mary, I hope you won't mind if I email you to ask for help!!!

This class was great! The instructor was a great resource and offered a great deal of practical advice on how and when to use the tools available. Just amazing!

There are many Web 2.0 tools - thank you for exposing us to many!!

This class has made me think about:

1. Which tool is most useful for specific applications?

2. How to bring Web 2.0 to students in order to enrich their learning experiences?

3. Many new tools to explore!

Learned lots!!!

What a great week. SO much stuff to learn. I feel like a kid on Christmas morning. Being able to use some right away and see the benefit is great. I am interested in part 2!! Thank you Mary

This course was an incredibly thorough introduction to the multitude of Web 2.0 tools available! I have formulated many ideas for applying the power of these tools in the classroom. I'd like the part two course to implement my new ideas. The first two days seemed to overload us with information, but overload became excitement when we were given time to practice with the tools.

I strongly recommend this course. I had some strong reservations about whether or not to take the course because I am not that savvy with technology. I am so glad that I did. I learned so much. I can't wait to try some of the technology that I have learned. I hope to take Web 2.0 Part II some time in the future.

This was my second Web 2.0 class and it was great! I was able to take some of the tools I knew and combine them with new tools to take them to a higher level. Thank you Mary! I am excited to use these tools and help other teachers with them as well. Looking forward to the next Web 2.0
class!
