Welcome and introductions to Integrating Technology to Support Differentiated Instruction in the Classroom

Welcome to your class blog.

This class is designed to provide you with an overview of emerging technologies to inspire collaboration and provide tools to engage 21st century learners. Some of the technologies will include Blogs, Podcasts, Skype multimedia tools (YouTube, TeacherTube, FlickR and more).

This class will support differentiated instruction models of learning and can be applied to all grade levels and content areas (language arts, social studies, science, math, world language, music, special education, library/study skills, etc). Students will apply this knowledge to an Understanding by Design (UBD) unit.

Please take the following Zoomerang Survey the week prior to class or during our first session. (6/11-6/18).

We will also post a reply to this blog in class. This will provide you with the opportunity to tell us a little about yourself and your experience with technology and any other information you would like to share.

I'm looking forward to learning about and getting some hands-on experience using blogs, skype etc., so I won't be ignorant as compared to my children and students.

Hi Mary,

I teach English at LHS and have used some technologies sporadically. I usually learn from my students because they are much more savvy. I am nervous about this class and how quickly the information is going to be flying at me, but I'm happy to be here learning about these technologies.
