Mashups in the Information Technology Classroom

Last week I showed a google docs spreadsheet with a lookup function for presidents and inserted a google map. A professor from Bentely, Mark Frydenberg demonstrated this at Professional Development session last fall. Below is a slideshare with several lookup functions (on slide 29). Some of the examples include cities and townn, chemical compounds, planets, etc. Try creating a few in google spreadsheets following the same technique as the jing demonstrated in class.

Check out this SlideShare Presentation:

Have fun!

Can we research this whole mashup thing a bit more? I downloaded popfly and tried using it, but I think I need a bit of instruction......
