The slide show was informative and gave great ideas for use of Google Docs. I especially enjoyed the quote at the beginning explaining the role of the teacher - clearly much different then years ago in focus. The applications make many subjects much more collaborative in nature where students can actually perform all of the details.

Quite good :) thanks for posting it.

I thought the first use - researching why soccer events were poorly attended, and then solving that problem - was particularly engaging. I love the idea of real life applications: you can truly see why you are doing something. I also liked the quotes about teachers as music instructors, not musicians.

It is exciting to see what others are doing...others like the ones in the slideshow but also in our own class. Our guidance office has decided to use google sites to re-do our web page...it is so much easier and user friendly than school center. stay tuned for updates on our site!

The graphing of data on google docs really brings the data to life. Very useful, especially for science classes.

The ability of multiple students working simultaneously on google docs is, in my opinion, its best feature.

Allowing students to create, collect, and interpret data as well as to share and edit documents are some of the many reasons to employ this program. I am sold!

Loved it. Now we just need to get all of our kids an account so they can start working.

Great ability to share and collaborate on doc's for engaging the learner. I liked the quote by Seymour Papet-It allows for more home-based collaborative work and interesting homework perhaps. The kids need accounts. Does this start in grade 6 and they keep their accounts through grade 8??

Like everyone else, I see great opportunities with Google Docs--but we need to get it implemented district wide. That may be sticky with the younger crowd. I believe that if they are under 14 they need parental permission to sign up for such a thing (they have to be at least 13 for Glogster). I don't think most parents would have a problem with it, but then what do you do with those 3 students out of a class of 120 who aren't "allowed" an account. I personally love Google Sites and have done more with my libraries' websites in the last month than I did in the past 18 months with School Center. I've also used Google Docs to collaborate with colleagues in other buildings--very handy.

I typed a response and once again could not publish because of password issues. Anyway I commented that I'm having a hard time trying to figure out how to use this technology in elementary school and with limited computer access. I'm thinking about using it to try to get organized. I've collected a lot of materials over the years, but can't always lay my hands on it.

So maybe January’s update on income wasn’t really the shock it seemed. Thanks to the planned rights problem the sharp fall in the share price might just be market prices for investor dilution. Nevertheless, it is no accident to Carillion’s proximity.50 most popular women
