I really like the web page layout. I have been able to do things easier than school center...
ReplyDeleteThere is so much you can do in igoogle... At times I find myself getting a bit overwhelmed...The bundle of items that google has offered is great...Everything in one neat package...
I've spent several hours trying to "fool" google into allowing sound. No success yet but I was asked to fill out a survey for google. I mentioned this to them.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I am frustrated with the google survey. I want my 8th sound classes to take a survey about their guitar skills but I can not figure out how to get the survey to them without emailing them. There must be a work-around for this. Anyone with suggestions?
Ding!!!
ReplyDeleteI had an insight and I figured out how to post a survey without needing to email all of the students.
1. Click on edit
2. Select insert
3. scroll to spreadsheet form
4. either select survey or paste in its web address, etc.
I am hoping to have 1 or 2 computers up and running the google web page on Monday and pre-set it to the survey. Can they handle it?
Now, how do I view the results in a pie chart? When I select insert chart I get blank boxes?
Hi Steve,
ReplyDeleteI am glad to see you were able post the survey without having to email. You have the ability to take the url/link or the embedded code and place in your blog/google site as we did in class.
Hi Mike,
ReplyDeleteWe did review all the the applications in order to see how they all fit together. There are several vidos in the class PD Site or on the google to help review using Google Sites. We will be exploring all the apps in class.
Thanks Steve,
ReplyDeleteJust inserted a Survey into my new web site....Your instructions helped...
Hi Mary,
ReplyDeleteDo you know how to embed a glog on a Google sites page? I've noticed that it has been done on a Google site but I haven't been successful.
Thanks in advance...
Hello again,
ReplyDeleteThat glog question was from me as I was signed in under my daughter's account. I am still attempting to embed with no luck...
OK...using the HTML key it works.
ReplyDeleteHi Anita -
ReplyDeleteI was wondering who emerson was??? I am glad you figured out the html option for the glog into the site. - Mary
I have created a survey and want to post it to my google site - have posted my track and field schedule to the site - now want to change the background and color aas it is difficult to read but can't remember how to do that!! will be sharing a power point presentation with Loxi to collaboratively edit out slides before it goes to the SC. I have enjoyed trying to get stuff on - just need more practice with what I am doing.
ReplyDeleteYAY! My little success is that I inserted a video and a map on my site. The survey may take a while longer but I'll get there.
ReplyDeleteI have always been curious about functionality in websites and, well, the world in general. I read this article with great interest. It does seem to me that the reason we comment is to speak our minds so why not have the comment field first? However, as others have pointed out, one gets used to the conventions regardless of reason.
ReplyDeletelove to see this discussion! It’s great to see you all working through the issues and also, it’s great to see recommendations for testing. In the end, it’s what your actual users do and prefer that should be your biggest driver in making these decisions.
study abroad
Had a little difficulty adding non you tube presentations to sandbox. Did my quiz/survery and fogot how to do a few things. Think I got some of it down but I tend to get frustrated when I can't do what I want. Anyway, look forward to class Wednesday.
