Blog versus Ning

I have been using a blog along with a wiki for several years to delivery Professional Development. I decided to use a ning first by joining a few nings, English Companion Ning, The TeachLibrarian Ning, Seedings Ning, Classroom20 for online PD, just to mention a few.

I was reluctant to move away from a blog but after using with a group of high school students and for a professional development class this semester, I am sold. I love using the ning, it incorporates images, videos, blogs, chat, apps and more.

I would like your feedback on using the blog (from class one) or the ning from the current class.
