Today we start a new semester. If you are using Google Classroom the you may want to Archive older classes so students only see new classes.
You can re-post information from semester one into you new semester two class with our re-creating all the posts.
I hope you find this tip helpful.
Archive Old Class
From the class tiles page, click on the 3 dots icon to archive the class.
Students can still view the archived class but are no longer able to submit or comment.
ReUse Assignments
You can reuse assignments from an archived class. From your new Google Classroom class, click on the plus icon and choose “Reuse post.”

Haiku Deck
I am revisiting Haiku Deck (web-based) this week as a presentation tool for students. I used Haiku Deck on my iPad in the past but forgot about using the web-based version. Last week a social studies teacher wanted to use. The site was open for teachers, but not for students. I had the site opened only to find the images were blocked by our filter. Now that the logistic are out of the way, I will be working with a class next week on creating a presentation with a more visual aspect and introduce Haiku Deck.
Digital Footprint and Learning Haiku Deck Example - Created with Haiku Deck, presentation software that inspires
I will provide students with a tutorial, video review and user guide.
